Day 728: Goodbye Yosemite

Ciao Yose, fedele compagno di avventure. Per tanti sei solo un pezzo di metallo, ma per noi che abbiamo sempre creduto in te, sei sempre stato un affidabile compagno di viaggio. Abbiamo guidato per più di 40.000km insieme, attraverso sei stati diversi e sei stato la nostra casa quando non ne avevamo una. Ci sono stati momenti di gioia, di tristezza, sconforto, paura e preoccupazione ma tu ci hai sempre portati a destinazione sani, salvi e soprattutto felici di questa magnifica esperienza. Grazie per questo. Con te se n’è andato un pezzettino del nostro cuore che speriamo continuerai a portare in giro per l’Australia.

Goodbye Yose, loyal adventure buddy. You may be just a piece of metal for some people, but for us, who have always believed in you, you have been a reliable travel mate. We drove more than 40.000km together, through six different states and you have been our home when we didn’t have one. There have been moments of joy, sadness, discouragement, fear and worry but you’ve always brought us to destination safe and sound, but above all happy. Thank you for that. With you, a piece of our heart has gone and we hope that you’ll bring it with you all around Australia again.

Quale modo migliore di concludere questa magnifica esperienza se non con un tipico week end australiano con la migliore famiglia australiana che abbiamo conosciuto?
Spiaggia, sole, barca, pesca, birra, mare cristallino, onde gigantesche, paesaggi mozzafiato e buona compagnia.
Che week end!! Un grazie speciale ad Andrea, Paul, Annie, Lizzy, Alice, Mitch e Poppy per questi tre splendidi giorni, per l’ospitalità ricevuta e per essersi dimostrati come una famiglia per noi.

What better way to end this awesome experience than an aussie style weekend with the best aussie family we’ve met?
Beach, sun, boat, fishing, beer, clear sea, massive waves, breathtaking landscape and good people.
What a week end!! A special thank you to Andrea, Paul, Annie, Lizzy, Alice, Mitch and Poppy for these wonderful days spent together, for the hospitality and for being like a family for us.

Day 700: Settecento giorni di OZ

Velocità di crociera 80 km/h, vento contrario da nord est ed un sorriso imbecille stampato sul volto! Finalmente siamo in vacanza!!! Destinazione: il caldo e desolato nord! un abbraccio e tanti auguri di buon natale a tutti gli amici del Sapore del Mango e non!

Turn off the television, turn off the computer, turn off the phone, disconnect your mind. You’ll find peace for a while.
